Welcome to the Web Site of RAFSTA! RAFSTA is a Science Fiction club that was formerly for the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom. Originally founded in 1992 as a Star Trek club within the RAF, it has grown to encompass Science Fiction fans from all three of the services, and their respective reserves. The Association produces a quarterly magazine (AD ASTRA) , featuring Articles and stories written by members. In addition the club has an active social side, with an annual get-together/AGM weekend, and other social gatherings during the year. Full Membership is open to serving members of the UK Armed Forces and their respective Reserves, and we accept applications from all walks of life as well now! NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS..... This years AGM weekend venue has been selected and booked! The date is the weekend commencing 3 September 2010. The venue is Yorkshire! At least it is somewhere IN Yorkshire, between Skipton and Harrogate, more details will appear soon! It also has a name! Nentay. Yes, that's right, I said Nentay! It is the Klingon Coming Of Age and yes more details will appear here soon as well! |
