Welcome to the Web Site of RAFSTA! RAFSTA is a Science Fiction club that was formerly for the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom. Originally founded in 1992 as a Star Trek club within the RAF, it has grown to encompass Science Fiction fans from all three of the services, and their respective reserves. The Association produces a quarterly magazine (AD ASTRA) , featuring Articles and stories written by members. In addition the club has an active social side, with an annual get-together/AGM weekend, and other social gatherings during the year. Full Membership is open to serving members of the UK Armed Forces and their respective Reserves, and we accept applications from all walks of life as well now! Hot News! Straight off the press....... Nothing! Sorry, it is now 3 and a bit months away, venue is still the West End Outdoor Centre near Skipton and it is still the first weekend in September. Got your time off booked? Now is the time to sort it out! It is the Klingon Coming Of Age and so if you have any ideas for fancy dress post them on the forum, or even if you have any ideas for the weekend itself, items for the agenda, enquiries etc get on the forum and let everyone know! |
